Awareness
A Walk in Their Shoes: A Human Trafficking Simulation — This simulation allows participants to walk the path of someone who has been trafficked. While every trafficking/exploitive situation is different, this allows participants to see how anyone can be vulnerable and face barriers when trying to leave.
Internet Safety and Prevention — Designed for youth (ages 13 and above) parents, and anyone working with youth. This presentation will give an overview of how to be safe online and prevent future trafficking.
Overview of Human Trafficking — This presentation provides a general overview of trafficking and exploitation, how it happens, signs to be aware of, and what to do if you suspect someone is being trafficked.
Cultural Influences and the Links to Trafficking & Exploitation — In this presentation, we take a look at how movies, tv shows, and music can influence our culture through objectification and exploitation.
Effects of Pornography — This presentation provides education on the effects of pornography on individuals and our culture as well as the links between pornography and trafficking.
Not A Number - Not a Number is an interactive child trafficking and exploitation prevention curriculum designed to provide youth with information and skills in a manner that inspires them to make safe choices. Youth learn to identify and utilize healthy support systems that may decrease their vulnerabilities.
Outreach
Our desire is to be present everywhere sexual exploitation is happening, and our outreach continues to expand toward that goal.
With the continued focus on building relationships and offering a holistic support system, we—
Set up tables at hotels/motels.
Visit massage businesses where women are vulnerable to exploitation.
Text those being advertised online.
Set up at truck stops.
Do street outreach.
Have regular visits to rehab facilities and to those serving jail sentences.
Our teams show up with food, gifts, love, and hope. We are not rescuers, we are erasing lines of separation and building community.
Community
Our Community initiative deepens the relationships begun in outreach and with those referred from partner organizations.
It also serves as a bridge to resources in our heart of collaboration and widening the circle of support for each individual we serve.
In-office programming includes survivor-informed support groups, Bible study, and special events/celebrations
Ending the Game — By revealing a sequence of commonly-used, yet seldom explained, mind control techniques used by traffickers, sexual abusers, media, and other coercive agents, we aim to empower victims to acquire skills and end “The Game.”
Worth It — The WORTH IT program is designed for women who have experienced sexual trauma from exploitation, trafficking, or prostitution. Trauma is often the primary underlying factor that causes or perpetuates many societal issues like addiction, unemployment, fractured relationships, and maladaptive behaviors. We believe healing begins when trauma is identified and addressed, and when meaningful relationships are made.
