About Us
She’s Somebody’s Daughter began in 2012 as an awareness initiative about the links between trafficking, pornography, and the commercial sex industry.
We use the phrase “she’s somebody’s daughter” to begin shifting the perspective on the demand side of trafficking and exploitation.
What we do—
We shed light on the reality of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking in our communities.
Our heart to honor women led to outreach within the commercial sex industry, with no agenda but to build relationships and offer a holistic support system.
Our Beautiful Exchange came next - a wonderful part of our history where relationships with women met in outreach deepened, steps out of the industry supplemented by work hours, and other dreams and true identities explored.
Our Beautiful Exchange shifted into the Community initiative - let go of the employer/employee dynamic, and kept the relational support system and bridge to resources.
Much has shifted over the years, but our mission remains the same: raising awareness, providing prevention education, and erasing lines of separation that isolate those affected by sexual exploitation.
She’s Somebody’s Daughter is a 501(c)(3) public charity therefore all donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
